Balans has Yoga classes to satisfy all abilities and tastes, from long-term Yogis who live for building their Vinyasa practice to new practitioners who want a slower and in depth instruction. However, we ultimately believe everybody is unique and that your Yoga classes should accommodate the little
differences that makes you, you. Whenever you show up at the mat at Balans you will get a personalized practice that honors your individual strengths and limitations, and guides you safely to achieve poses you never thought possible.
GENTLE RESTORATIVE YOGA
This class is appropriate for all students seeking benefits of a gentle and nourishing practice. The combination of gentle Hatha and deep restorative work improves range of motion and joint mobility while reducing pain and the effects of stress. Yoga props are often used for safe practice, and to allow the body to fully achieve each pose position comfortably.
This class will blend Yoga poses with traditional strength training moves. A weighted sculpting class that promises to build lean muscle mass and boost metabolism, think bicep curls with your legs in crescent pose or weighted squats in chair. Yoga Sculpt provides an opportunity to work muscles that students need to have a strong Yoga practice - that might not work in a Vinyasa class.
Emphasis on building a strong foundation with good alignment – It is a great place for a beginner yogi to start their journey and a great place for a long time yogi to reconnect to the universal principle of this tradition. You will receive individualized attention as you gain flexibility, strength and balance. Modification will be provided.
An excellent combination class inspired by a blend of Hatha Yoga traditions. This unique approach to integrating the teachings of different lineages creates an eclectic and integrative experience. It will sharpen your mind and lift your spirits. All students are welcome from a newbie coming in for the first time, to the experienced yogi, walking down from the mountain. Move, breath, sweat and find your inner peace and enjoy the fun.

YIN TO VIN YOGA
The best of both worlds! In the first half of the class, we engage in a deep stretch, opening cold muscles and releasing the body with transformative Yin postures. This is followed by slow and mindful vinyasa flow. Perfect for beginners and advanced yogis alike!
Vinyasa is a mindful movement. We flow through our sequences with intention, braiding postures together that will open, stretch and restore your body from inside and out. Each class will help link breath and movement, deepen the connection of mind and body. We will peel back the layers through a smart and safe yoga sequence, carefully choreographed to music.
